Mary DeRose is the realtor I used recently for downsizing from a townhouse to a two-bedroom condominium. During the fall of 2014, I had expressed to her an interest in downsizing. Mary took the time to help me decide what I really wanted in a new living arrangement. She found me a condo where both of us felt I would be comfortable. She became my advocate in the purchase process and arranged everything. As to selling my townhouse, Mary made several recommendations as to how best to set up my townhouse to look its best. I followed all of her suggestions. The photographer she used took fabulous pictures (once they saw these photos, a number of my friends asked me why I would want to sell such a beautiful house). The house sold within a day, and at a the price both Mary and I believed was realistic. She took care of all of the arrangements for the sale so that part of the transaction was also very simple for me. Mary knows what she is doing. She has been in this business for a number of years and has the contacts to ease any problems that may pop up. She was always available when I had questions and she kept me in the loop the entire time. I would highly recommend Mary if you are planning to either sell your home or purchase a home.  I found Mary to be not only pleasant and professional, but also very kind, caring and considerate. We contracted with Mary to sell my mother’s house. Mom had passed away early in December of 2014. My sister and I are both out of towners, so the task of selling Mom’s house turned out to be a bit more complex than either of us anticipated. Mary was simply wonderful – she knew Mom’s neighborhood intamately, had an excellent understanding of the local market, and was able to recommend quality contractors to take care of all the little things that needed to be attended to in order to sell Mom’s house. Mary also went a little beyond what I would normally expect from a realtor, she truly took a personal interest in making sure Mom’s property was presented in a manner that my mother would have approved of. That extra effort to ask about features were important to Mom, and to highlight many of those features made what could have been a very emotional sales transaction a lot less stressful. She went above and beyond anything we could have hoped for in our Realtor. Mary was very attentive, learned what was important to us quickly, and focused her search based on those needs.

We had a rather lengthy negotiation process, and without Mary advocating, as well as advising against certain suggestions from myself, we would not have the property we do today.
