They say that you should never stop learning and growing. It’s been 20 years since I was first licensed as an agent. Today I added the SRES ( Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation from the National Association of REALTORS® to my professional toolbox. In the last 20 years, the real estate climate has changed tenfold, technically, financially, socially, you name it, it’s different. While people are the constants, their needs, desires, and requirements are ever-changing.
What does the designation mean? It means that I am now better equipped to handle the multi-faceted, transitional need of an older generation.
Along with professionals that I work with who have expertise in reverse mortgages, pensions, 401(k) accounts, IRAs for real estate transactions, and knowledge of how Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security affect the real estate decisions for senior clients. I can help plan and execute more accurately, knowledgeably, and compassionately for an older clientele.
